Legendary Inter Milan striker Diego Milito reveals what Jose Mourinho told the players during the iconic clash against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final.
The Argentine cemented himself as the ultimate hero during the historic treble campaign in 2009/10 due to his decisive goals.

Milito recalls the words of his then-manager Jose Mourinho before the big showdown in Catalunya.
“Mourinho is a wonderful coach, the architect of all of our achievements,” said the retired striker in his interview with DAZN via FcInterNews.
“He knew how to manage every moment perfectly. He knew when he needed a stick and when he needed a caress.
“Before the final in Madrid, he made us relax. His best speech was actually in Barcelona, which was a bit of an early final.
“It was a very difficult stadium. We had a good lead but still had a game to survive.

“We were anxious while he was serene. The leader must try to show calm in moments of anxiety.
“He told us that when he won the Champions League with Porto, his son was too young to remember it. Thus, he asked us to win another one.
“Once on the pitch, he told us that the final is a dream for us, but for Barcelona, it’s an obsession. The Catalans were desperate to win the Champions League in Madrid.”
“I saw Jose last year when I went to Rome. We have a group chat and the bond lives on.”
