Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino failed to shake hands with his Manchester City counterpart, Pep Guardiola, after both sides played out a 4-4 draw in the Premier League on Sunday.
Instead, Pochettino stormed onto the pitch angrily in the direction of the match officials and had to be restrained by members of his staff.
The Argentine was furious after referee Anthony Taylor blew the final whistle, with Marc Cucurella in possession of the ball.
“My reaction at the end of the game wasn’t great. I apologise to Anthony Taylor and the rest of the referees,” the Blues boss told beIN Sports.
On his part, Guardiola said: “No problem. Really, it’s not a problem. I don’t want to say one word. It’s fine. The emotion happens to me sometimes. It’s fine.”
