Manchester United fans all agree on Alejandro Garnacho after 1-0 win v Luton Town

by James Gill

Alejandro Garnacho frustrated Manchester United fans after letting a huge chance go amiss against Luton Town. Now, fans have been reacting on social media.

Manchester United made it two Premier League wins on the bounce against Luton Town. However, the win does kind of paper over the cracks of what was a very frustrating game to watch.

Manchester United missed four big chances in the game, which tells the story, we should’ve had an easy afternoon.

One of those big chances that were missed was Alejandro Garnacho who fumbled a brilliant opportunity in the first half. Rasmus Hojlund did really well to find the Argentine before taking too long and the chance going amiss.

This isn’t the first big chance Garnacho has missed this season, which has left fans feeling frustrated…

Garnacho needs to work on his finishing

On more than one occasion Garnacho has missed a one-on-one which has prompted fans to react on X.

One fan explained: “For now, Garnacho is much better when coming on in the 60th minute & running direct against tired legs rather than playing the entire 90 minutes. He needs to be more clinical & improve his decision making in 1v1 situations. These chances are way too significant for us now.”

Another suggested how the 19-year-old can improve: “The next stage of development for Garnacho is to learn how to shoot.”

While a third added Marcus Rashford to the mix as both looked unconvincing in front of goal.

“Both Rashford and Garnacho BCM catalogue this season is tallying up — not enough conviction, too much overthinking.”

Despite his miss, Garnacho was good again

Boasting a 97% pass completion rate, Garnacho was very solid on the ball, and if he scored that chance fans would probably have been raving about him.

More impressively however he made three key passes, which all put others in positions which ultimately weren’t capitalised on.

Garnacho also won five duels and completed two dribbles which showcased the handful he was down the left.
