Arsenal have been told that they’re still ‘right in’ the Premier League title race by England legend Gary Lineker.
The Premier League season is nearing its busiest period and Arsenal are once again right in amongst those racing to lift the Premier League trophy this season.
The Gunners are just one point behind the league leaders Manchester City and will hope the Citizens drop points against Liverpool on Saturday.
This season however sees the top five all separated by just three points which could leave neutrals in store for one of the most hotly contested title races in recent memory.
A title race, which the Emirates side will be hoping sees a more successful end than last season. Now they’ve been predicted to do just that by Gary Lineker.
Lineker has joined Gary Neville in naming Arsenal as title favourites for the 2023/24 season.

Lineker tips Arsenal for success
Arsenal have a rich history filled with Silverware, something Mikel Arteta will be keen to add to. Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker has tipped the Gunners to see out the intense competition to win their first league title in 20 years.
“I will say they’re still up there, they’re still right in it, I’m going to stick with it, not with a great deal of confidence but I never had that in the first place.
“I do think they’ve got the makings of something, I think they’re fairly close to it so I’m going to stay with my initial prediction of the fact that they will win the league.”
Lineker didn’t sound completely assured in his prediction, which resonates with the feeling many have, given how City tend to flip a switch and become a super team after Christmas.
When did Arsenal last win the Premier League?
Arsenal haven’t won a Premier League trophy since the 2003/04 season under Arsene Wenger. This title was their 13th and came with the legendary and history making label of ‘The Invincibles’ for remaining undefeated all season.
Three of their 13 league titles have come in the Premier League era but we know that Arteta and the squad are desperate to add to this tally.
The Spanish boss has already tasted silverware at the Emirates following an FA Cup triumph in his first season at the club which was the club’s 14th.
